Ingredients

½ C. unsalted butter, cut into small pieces - divided

2 C. all-purpose flour - divided

½ tsp salt - divided

1 8 oz. cream cheese
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 large egg @ room temp
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
2 c. Oma’s Apple Butter - You will need 2 jars
-
1 ½ c. all-purpose flour
-
1 c. confectioners sugar
-
¾ c. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
-
¼ tsp salt
-
⅓ C chopped pecans

Streusel Topping:
Directions
Crust:
Mix butter, flour, and salt until crumbly
Press mixture into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Bake 15 minutes @ 350°, cool completely.
Cheesecake Layer:
Beat together cream cheese and granulated sugar.
Beat in egg until smooth.
Stir in vanilla.
Spread over cooled crust, leaving ¼” edge all around.
Streusel Topping
Use pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour and confectioners’ sugar.
Add salt and pecans.
Spread cream cheese mixture over crust leaving ¼” edge all around
Spread apple butter over cream cheese
Sprinkle streusel topping over all.
Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
Cool completely.
Cover and refrigerate before cutting into squares.
